Established in 1964, the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is dedicated to developing international tourism exchanges, encouraging more visitors to Japan, and assisting with commercial tourism activities on behalf of the Government of Japan.
We developed a web platform that allows merchants and organizations in Japan to upload information about tourist attractions and description of their services on the platform. At the same time, the Hong Kong travel industry practitioners can access the latest content and communicate directly with the counterparts in Japan through the platform.
The Japanese government has very strict requirements for maintaining website stability and information security on this project. This includes prohibition of using any readily made templates or plugins, which means that the entire website creation must be completed using codes, adding a certain level of difficulty to developers’ skillsets and project timeline.
Besides, Japanese regulations do not allow storage of personal sensitive information collected from website users. Therefore, information security rules such as access, handover, and encryption for the website project must be carefully planned and executed to ensure compliance. Our team finally completed the entire project within the designated deadline, and the client was very satisfied with the deliverables.
